Tiga Abdul

Tiga Abdul is a musical comedy Malaysian film directed by and starring P. Ramlee, the icon of Malaysia film industry. P. Ramlee, real name Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. Teuku Zakaria Teuku Nyak Putih, was a film actor, director, singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Due to his music background, all of his films could not get away from musical genre.

This film is three sons of a wealthy business man and an evil friend of their father who tricked away their wealth. P. Ramlee who is the youngest son in the film made revenge and took back all the wealth. I personally do like the movie, the story is simple and easy to understand. It is not just a simple comedy, it consists of meaningful moral values and secretly reflects the issues in our country during that era.

A film review is made by my friend and I. Kindly watch the video for more information.

Perempuan, Isteri dan ... (Jalang) ?

We learned film studies in Malaysian Media and Culture class this week. Our tutor, Ms Ezzati showed us a Malaysian movie, "Perempuan, Isteri dan ...". The "..." is actually "Jalang", which means bitch in Malay, but it was replaced by "..." due to restriction of censorship in Malaysia. This film is directed by U-Wei Hj Saari, one of the famous film director in Malaysia.

U-Wei Hj Saari

This is one of the best film in Malaysian movie history as it pushed the boundary of Malaysian film with unexpected sexualities, which we will never see it in Malaysian films nowadays. My friend, Vincent and I did a film review on the story, cinematography and the content of this movie. Kindly watch the video below for more detail.
